Own It!

John 13:16-20

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me."

My son’s we are privileged to be part of a great sequence of wisdom.  Once upon a time God became man and spoke words of salvation from the heart of love itself.  Those words were passed down to Peter and from Peter to the world.  In hearing the words and living according to The Way we become part owners of both a great tradition and a keystone in the existential survival of our fellow man.  We are custodians, guardians, and the contemporary voices of an ancient message and just because it comes from our humble lips, that makes it no less true; no less meaningful.

As you speak to others about your faith remember that there has been no dilution, no fading, no loss of momentum in the gravitas of saying “Jesus came to take away the sins of the world and bring everyone to everlasting life.”  It is no less potent, no less true than when Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Padre Pio, or Saint Peter himself said it.  There will be many times where your self-perception will make it appear that you are not worthy to talk of such things, but I tell you: a Paladin is OBLIGATED to make it clear to others that the truth is: salvation comes through Jesus Christ and his church.  We are in the business of saving souls, my sons, and even if you think your net is small, cast it with confidence none the less.  Even if just one person hears you and is saved think about how great your impact was on that one person!  YOU were the one that took the word of God and showed The Way to a lost soul.  How beautiful!
